Crosswords

Crosswords are created on a similar screen to word searches. They normally have to be designed beforehand on a piece of paper and then follow these steps:

- Set the number of rows and columns for the grid.

- Write the solution, leaving the asterisks in the cells that have to appear blacked out. It is recommended to use the arrow keys to move around the cells.

- Write the horizontal and vertical clues, separating them with a semi-colon when there is more than one word in a row or a column. The definitions can be text messages or references between curved brackets to graph, sound or digital video files.

In Toni Miquel Moll's Noms d'Animals activity pack, which you will find in the "Clic Corner", an alternative way of making crosswords with complex associations with solved grid A is shown.
